Music Column Mission Statement

Project Captured’s Music Column is the premier source for music news, events, and exclusive features on music industry professionals. We aim to highlight the diverse and exciting music scene that Chicago has to offer and to inspire and foster a community of music enthusiasts. We will accomplish this by covering exclusive music events, providing coverage from music concerts and festivals, staying updated on industry trends, and featuring influential music professionals or artists as part of our Music Captured series, which will be complimented by quality images and creative photo shoots.

The Music Team is lead by Executive Music Editor Rumala Sheikhani and Music Editor, Vadim Basin, and consists of journalists: Gina Marasigan, Rachael Lafronconi, Jeremy Gruszka, Sayed El Salamony, T.J Horansky, and Senita Harris.

The Music Captured series is a collection of features presenting music professionals and/or influential and inspirational artists. We will interview these individuals and include some interesting facts about their lives and careers. In addition, we will include an editorial photo spread, provided by photographer Christopher Free, to compliment the feature.
