Vadim Basin was born in The Ukraine and moved to Chicago at the age of 5. Growing up in Rogers Park and then Deerfield, he always displayed a great interest in music. While learning to play the violin at the age of 9, he was introduced to the drum set in the practice rooms. Unable to avoid its strange gravitational pull, he would slowly make the permanent transition to rock out on his drum kit he acquired at age 13. His musical taste is vast and only keeps growing- classic rock, metal, reggae, hip hop, rap, jazz, indie, house, dubstep… he listens to it all. His other interests include playing basketball, swimming, and going to shows. While completing a finance major at DePaul University, he has been building credibility in music media as well as among musicians themselves.
