The 2011 Rejuvenate Custo Barcelona summer fashion show, presented by Funky Couture and hosted by Tstisiki Felix of Telemundo/NBC Chicago, was held at SushiSamba Rio in downtown Chicago on Sunday, June 26th. This lovely public summer event began with a champagne reception at 5 pm followed by a fashion show at 9 pm. Complimentary fashion-inspired Absolut Vodka cocktails along with SushiSamba rolls and appetizers circulated throughout the room while attendees mingled and browsed the silent auction in preparation for Custo Barcelona’s display of their latest summer trends. While many enjoyed their delicious cocktails and aperitivos, DJs from Miami and Chicago pumped the atmosphere with Spanish and tropical vibes.
On Sunday, May 1st, Chicago House, the leader in housing and supportive services for people affected by HIV and AIDS, kicked off its 24th Annual Chicago House Spring Brunch and Fashion Show ,raising $115K for the organization. Emceed by Dixie Longate, The Tupperware Lady whose show is now playing through June 12th at the Royal George Theater, over 400 guests gathered at the Harold Washington Library’s breath-taking Winter Garden Ballroom to enjoy a three-course brunch, silent auction, fresh spring flower market, and fashion show headlined by Mark Shale.

Project Captured was happy to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of our friends at Sofia Vintage. Despite the dreary, foggy weather, the party brought in many of Sofia’s friends and fans on April 27th, including Maria Menounos, who, with her familiar big, bright smile, signed copies of her new book, The Everygirl’s Guide to Life, which includes advice on everything from healthy eating to home decor to her favorite places to shop–Sofia, of course, being in the mix.
